What happened
On July 16, 2022, private keys to Impermax team wallets were stolen, allowing the attacker to drain approximately 9 million IMX tokens and most of the protocol-owned liquidity. The team responded by frontrunning the attacker's potential sell-off and executed a token swap recovery plan from IMX to IBEX.
