What happened
An attacker stole authentication credentials for Wemix's Nile NFT platform service monitoring system and used them to gain access to the Play Bridge Vault. The attacker executed 13 successful withdrawals over two months of preparation, extracting 8.65 million WEMIX tokens and selling them on external exchanges. Wemix delayed disclosure by one week citing precautionary measures.
