What happened
On July 26, 2026, an attacker obtained administrative control of the WEMIX$ stablecoin contract and minted 5.23M counterfeit WEMIX$ tokens. These were swapped for real WEMIX and USDC.e and dispersed across Ethereum and BNB Chain. The total exploit was estimated at $6.25M.
