What happened
Between May 13-15, 2018, MonaCoin suffered a selfish mining attack where the attacker commanded up to 57% of hashrate. By mining blocks secretly and releasing them strategically, the attacker invalidated legitimate blocks and stole approximately $90K in MONA coins through exchange manipulation.
