What happened
On July 2, 2023, Poly Network was exploited across 11 blockchains via insufficient validation of block headers and validator signatures in bridging logic. Attackers minted ~$43B in tokens; limited liquidity and swift exchange intervention (Tether freeze of $33M USDT) contained cashed-out losses to $5-10M.
