What happened
VinDAX, a Vietnamese exchange launched in March 2019, was hacked on November 5, 2019, with attackers stealing $500K in digital assets across 23 small-cap cryptocurrencies from insecure hot wallets. After discovery, VinDAX immediately contacted the projects involved and froze or recovered the stolen tokens due to the small-cap nature of the assets. The platform later fully recovered the stolen value through coordination with affected projects.
