What happened
On February 20-21, 2026, Veil Cash on Base was exploited for 2.9 ETH (~$5.7K). Attacker exploited a misconfigured Groth16 SNARK verifier with identical delta and gamma parameters, breaking the soundness equation and enabling proof forgery to withdraw 29 times from the privacy pool without depositing.
