What happened
On August 4, 2021, WaultSwap was exploited when an attacker manipulated the $WUSD pegging mechanism by repeatedly staking USDT to artificially increase the $WEX price in the USDT-WEX liquidity pool, then swapping $WEX back to $USDT for profit, extracting approximately $930K.
