What happened
On August 26-27, 2025, BetterBank on PulseChain was exploited via its reward mechanism using flash loans to manipulate liquidity pools, create a fake ERC20 paired with PDAIF, and trigger ESTEEM minting. ~$5M was stolen; the attacker later returned $2.7M, leaving net losses of ~$1.4M. The issue had been flagged during audit but dismissed.
