What happened
WazirX Indian exchange was hacked on July 18, 2024, losing $234.9M in 190+ tokens from a Liminal-custodied multisig wallet. Attackers created a fake WazirX account, accessed the hot wallet, then exploited the smart contract controlling the multisig to gain full control without the original keys.
