What happened
On July 11, 2021, ChainSwap bridge was exploited when attackers identified a logical flaw in the cross-chain quota code. The vulnerability allowed invalid, non-whitelisted addresses to bypass authorization and increase the on-chain bridge quota. Attackers minted new tokens for multiple protocols and stole approximately $4.4 million across Ethereum and BSC, affecting Wilder World, Antimatter, Optionroom, and others.
