What happened
AurumCoin suffered a 51% attack in November 2018 where an attacker gained majority network hashpower. The attacker performed a double-spend attack, sending 15,752.26 AU to the Cryptopia exchange worth approximately $500,000, selling them for other cryptocurrencies, then rolling back the transaction. The attack rendered the blockchain inactive as of November 29, 2018.
