What happened
On December 13, 2021, Vulcan Forged's NFT marketplace suffered a $140M hack affecting 96 high-value wallets when Venly's semi-custodial servers were compromised. The attacker extracted credentials and exfiltrated ~4.5M PYR tokens from customer wallets. Vulcan Forged refunded 100% of losses within 24 hours.
