What happened
On July 23-24, 2026, Lien Finance on Ethereum suffered a $542,000 exploit when an attacker bypassed the burn-before-swap logic in the GeneralizedDotc contract. The attacker minted unbacked bond tokens and swapped them for USDC from OTC pools.
