What happened
BTC.com's custodial systems were compromised on December 3, 2022, exposing private keys and enabling the theft of 32.5 BTC and 1964 ETH. Approximately $700K belonged to client assets while $2.3M was company-owned. Stolen funds were transferred to Tornado Cash and CEX exchanges.
